Our team of engineers have also along experience in dealing with electronics, microcontroller, FPGA (VHDL) and industrial PC Real Time based operating systems.
By being able to build complete systems from electronics to CAD/CAM/HMI, we minimize interactions with third party components. Some of our systems can be seen as a “vertical pillar” where all elements interact with each other in a monolithic way sharing a common C++ class hierarchy and a normalized development environment. All of this warranties a extremely short development cycle and a total control on the final product, leading to a fast and reliable support capability.
Our industrial PC Real Time based motor and I/O control take the advantage of modern processors yielding a highly reliable and accurate control on motor position by using complex non linear mathematical models for the motor behaviour, unmatched by DSP or standard microcontroller architectures, due to its limited processing and/or bandwith capability.
Thanks to the use of reconfigurable FPGA hardware in our VoxelStar CNC system, we are able to control up to 35 axis and over 200 I/O with a single PCI card at control rates faster than complex bus protocols like Sercos, ProfiBus or CanBus, where the bandwidth is divided by the number of devices in the bus. All device interconnections are performed using high speed (2-8 Mhz) serial differential channels with fault tolerant proprietary communication protocols.
FPGA design also allows us to take the advantage of modern digital laser sensors without the need of external complex synchronization electronics.
